Amanda discovered her passion for improving health outcomes through a cultural lens while earning her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at the University of South Carolina. During this time she became involved in various HIV/AIDS-related organizations and further developed her interests in infectious disease and sexual health. She went on to pursue a Master of Public Health in Global Health with a concentration in Infectious Disease from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. It was during this time that Amanda first began working as a Research Assistant at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and eventually became an ORISE Fellow before joining Rescue.

As Program Manager, Amanda oversees the implementation of various sexual health and HIV prevention campaigns, incorporating her experience in managing and conducting both qualitative and quantitative research.

While not at work, Amanda enjoys hiking and planning for her next adventure.
