Shiloh Beckerley, PhD

Research Scientist since 2016

sbeckerley@rescueagency.com

Shiloh is a research psychologist with extensive experience in health promotion and project management. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from UCLA and her PhD in Psychology from UC San Diego where her research focused on identifying ways to motivate positive health behaviors. She has experience designing and managing surveillance and experimental research projects that focus on identifying health-related risk and resilience factors. Shiloh brings expertise in research methods, survey design, quantitative data collection and analysis, as well as professional and academic writing.

Prior to joining Rescue, she managed two large-scale surveillance projects for the military, which included conducting data collection with thousands of Sailors and Marines in diverse settings – on cramped destroyer ships in Guam and in tents on dusty military training fields. Her subsequent findings contributed directly to policy changes that improved deployment cycles and increased gender equality in military settings. Shiloh is passionate about using rigorous research methods to effect positive change and is excited to be part of the Rescue team.
