Brandon is the Group Account Director for the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products national campaign to prevent tobacco use among Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) youth and young adults.  Brandon joined Rescue with extensive experience working with diverse communities to achieve public health goals.  He holds a B.A. in Creative Writing and an MBA from San Diego State University.

Prior to Rescue, Brandon served as Director of Development for The San Diego LGBT Community Center where he oversaw the agency’s $5 million annual fundraising strategy and donor communications.  He led a team of development and communication professionals who executed events, managed direct mail programs, and used digital and social media campaigns to promote opportunities for deeper community involvement.

Brandon held similar roles at Environmental Health Coalition (a 30 year old organization advancing health for families), Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, and Equality California (California’s premier statewide LGBT rights organization).

In 2008, Brandon was named one of San Diego’s “Top 15 Under 30 Leaders” for his work in helping lead California’s historic No on Prop 8 Campaign. After leading outreach programs in diverse communities, Brandon received a “Spirit of Justice Award” from MCC.

Brandon left his hometown of Baton Rouge after Hurricane Katrina and moved to San Diego in 2006.  Prior to SDSU, he attended LSU and remains a Tiger fan today.
