Born and raised in an urban setting of Southern California, Cheyne Whitney has been heavily influenced by the ubiquity of pop-culture. In conjunction with his interests in music, action sports, and clothing design, Cheyne is most passionate about influencing and molding future generations through a framework of futuristic leadership.

While earning a Social Science degree from San Diego State University, Cheyne had the opportunity to teach and work with local at-risk high school students where he perpetuated a lifelong objective to empower youth and young adults. Cheyne later played an integral role in the inception, development, branding, and marketing of a custom apparel company, Consuul Printing and Design. Throughout his years at Consuul, he gained invaluable experience in business operations, project management, creative team building, special event production and apparel manufacturing — both internally and for the company’s wide range of clients.

After completing Rescue SCG’s internship program in December of 2008, Cheyne piloted the company’s IMIN After School brand during the Fall of 2009. Following its launch, Cheyne devoted four years as the IMIN Brand Manager with Rescue SCG, facilitating effective high school after school programs within the San Diego Unified School District. As the IMIN Brand Manager, he was responsible for integrating the IMIN brand into the District’s umbrella program to successfully reach students in over 100 unique after school clubs throughout the city. After the sunset of SDUSD’s five year grant, Cheyne transitioned onto Rescue SCG’s Client Services team and is %100 committed to Rescue SCG’s multicultural and LGBT tobacco reduction campaigns under the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products contract. Cheyne is and will continue to be responsible for direct CTP client services and internal team management throughout the entirety of the FDA contracts.

Cheyne is continuously inspired to blend his passions for youth advocacy, teaching, futuristic leadership and business management to help propel Rescue SCG’s endeavor to set the standard for social change marketing. Outside of the workplace, Cheyne maintains his 20+ years of commitment to the local sports community by coaching varsity and collegiate level baseball. He and his wife were lucky enough to race around the world on the fifteenth season of CBS’ multi-Emmy Award Winning reality series “The Amazing Race”, where they competed against eleven other teams, setting the record for most legs won and eventually taking home the grand prize.
