Hania Bisat graduated from the University of Georgia with Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Political Science. She was particularly interested in social and political psychology, and she conducted her own research on these topics with the help of a mentor for more than two years in college. After graduating Summa Cum Laude, Hania taught English as a second language for a year in South Korea. She loved living in a new culture, exploring the country, and interacting with people from all over the world. When she returned, she interned with the Georgia Innocence Project, where she learned how hard it could be for innocent people to gain their freedom.

Hania was raised in a healthy household and has been determined to maintain this lifestyle ever since. She believes in keeping her mind and body strong—through diet, exercise, and abstaining from things like alcohol and tobacco. She was drawn to Rescue by its promotion of healthy behaviors in youth and young adults, who are often the must vulnerable when it comes to adopting harmful habits to stay “cool.” She believes that instilling healthy practices in people while they are still young is essential to improving their lives and those of their families in the future.

As an Administrative Assistant in the DC office, Hania strives to make the workplace a more pleasant space for her coworkers. She organizes events, maintains the office, and provides help to the Research, Youth Engagement and Policy, and Human Resources Teams where needed. She is excited to be part of this unique, innovative company with its mission to make healthy behaviors easier and more appealing.
