Program Manager since 2016

As a Project Manager for Rescue, Michele Burge manages several campaigns focusing on tobacco use in the State of Connecticut.  Prior to joining Rescue, Michele received her Master’s in Public Administration and Master’s in Survey Research from the University of Connecticut, with a certificate in Public and Non-Profit Management.  After graduate school, Michele worked at a global research firm for four years, developing and leading education-based research that provided her with a very holistic approach to policy and social issues. She also worked on grassroots-led campaigns and portfolios while at American Cancer Society, giving her insight into state-level policy centered around tobacco prevention and cancer-related issues, as well as providing her with volunteer and leadership development/management skills.

Driven by the belief that “You can’t do all the good the World needs, but the World needs all the good that you can do,” Michele strives to center her life around leaving a positive footprint.  Outside of work, she spends her time volunteering in her community as well as working with an organization known as Girls on the Run to help young girls feel empowered and confident, believing that our future starts by educating our youth and providing positive experiences and encouraging healthy living.

Michele comes to Rescue with a passion to empower individuals.  She is excited to bring her extensive experience, passion and drive to the position and help create long-lasting change within the State of Connecticut.

Originally from Texas, she is still getting used to the cold weather of New England.
