Priscilla believes in the positive impact that research can have in understanding how individuals influence and are influenced by others. As a Sr. Research Associate at Rescue, Priscilla assists in planning, designing, and implementing research practices that support Rescue’s unique and competitive research approach to address healthy behavioral change. She passionately believes in Rescue’s mission and is excited to contribute her skills to innovative social change efforts.

Priscilla received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California San Diego, Master’s degree in General Experimental Psychology from California State University San Marcos, and PhD in Experimental Social Psychology with a minor in Research Methodology from Saint Louis University. Her research focused on the normative processes influencing romantic relationships that contribute to engaging in risky sexual behaviors such as infidelity. Furthermore, she worked in an array of applied research labs that promoted social and individual positive change such as understanding the consequences of climate change, identifying stereotype threat in minority students, and distinguishing factors that encourage volunteering.

During her free time Priscilla enjoys meditating, running on the beach, and playing fetch with her cat Elvis.
