Clayton Reisig, MSW

Research Assistant since 2017

creisig@rescueagency.com

Clayton first became interested in health research and program development during his undergraduate career at New York University, where he studied Psychology and served as a volunteer teaching health education classes to 9th grade public school students. After graduating, Clayton moved back home to New Orleans, Louisiana to pursue a Masters in Social Work from Tulane University. During his time at Tulane, he became more active in field of health communication and promotion through an internship at the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI), where he supported an Adolescent Reproductive Health Coalition, and conducted a series of webinars related to Sexual and Reproductive Health in Louisiana. Concurrent to his work at LPHI, Clayton conducted a series of interviews to assess perceptions of health care access in the flood-prone community of Lower Plaquemines Parish.

Clayton moved to Washington, D.C. shortly after finishing his degree in Social Work in order to pursue a Masters in Public Health from The George Washington University in Global Health Program Design, Monitoring, & Evaluation, with interests in the sociocultural aspects of LGBT substance use. When not at Rescue pushing the boundaries of “trendy casual,” Clayton can typically be found baking, playing all things Nintendo, and closely following the lives of all the queens from Rupaul’s Drag Race.
