D’Andrea Bidgood

Multicultural Account Director since 2014

As Multicultural Account Director for the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products, D’Andrea focuses on the national effort to prevent and reduce tobacco use among Multicultural at-risk youth.  While in college she interned with Def Jam Recordings and then began her extensive career in non-profit community and public affairs with the NBA/Atlanta Hawks Foundation and The Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Non-Violent Social Change. She was responsible for community outreach, educational programs, fundraising strategy and development, event execution, promotions and national and international media relations.

D’Andrea’s professional journey then led her to client services and account management for several ad agencies where she managed internal and external staff and developed strategic integrated marketing plans for Fortune 500 brands. Some of her responsibilities included creative production, media management, experiential activation, public relations, entertainment integrations and digital campaigns to further extend multicultural brand messaging into go-to-market strategies.

D’Andrea has worked for various high profile brands and campaigns including McDonald’s, Sprite, Verizon, Kellogg’s, Truth anti-tobacco, Ford and Lincoln Motor Companies to name a few. As a consultant, she has also worked with non-profit organizations such as Children Uniting Nations (CUN) and the Rowell Foster Children’s Positive Plan (RFCPP), which focus on at-risk and foster youth.

D’Andrea was named as one of the Twenty Five Most Influential Women in Atlanta in 2008 and featured in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta as Corporate Brass in 2011 and an Interesting Personality in 2012.

She was born in New York and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. She graduated from Hampton University in Virginia where she earned a B.A. degree in Communications.
