Tyler Henry

Account Coordinator since 2016

thenry@rescueagency.com

Tyler is a SoCal native who, after taking a gap year working in the Sequoia National Forest before undergrad, decided he needed to return to the land of sunshine and coastal breezes. He started at Rescue his senior year of college as an Event Strategy Intern, helping construct training materials and revamping the activation process until he was hired full time as a client service account coordinator.

Tyler graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of San Diego with a dual BA in Communication Studies and Theology/Religious Studies. His passions for justice and investigating what bonds marginalized communities together led him to Rescue. He’s worked as a PR and Marketing coordinator for the United Front Multicultural Center, as well as a volunteer facilitator for the Rainbow Educator program bringing attention to LGBT issues and intersecting identities. While studying Religion he focused his research on how religious identities intersect with LGBT communities.

After graduating Tyler made a point to find a company that would not only grow his professional career, but encourage social justice, making Rescue an amazing fit. Tyler believes that your body is a textual site of power, and in order to maintain agency, your health is paramount to being an active participant. Tyler hopes to empower others by showing that in resisting addiction from things such as tobacco and other substances, a person is then free to help construct a better world for all to live in. In his spare time Tyler loves going on walks and exploring different areas of San Diego, surfing, hanging with friends, going to movies, hiking/camping, and driving back to his hometown to visit his sister and nephews.
